One suggestion was a Naval Action style world map with bases, trade etc for a more robust meta - though, having played that throughout alpha/beta that idea is a mighty scope creep and is fraught with its own challenges.Me, personally, I feel some form of clan/ranked mode would be interesting, with teams sharing an upgradeable ship that scales to their MMR.This all said, I have been having a blast in the game, so absolute kudos for that - money well spent as I see it. Unfortunately, the loop does feel rather simple - other than cosmetics there really isn't much to tie the knot, so to speak.This was brought up in the channel we were in - the general consensus was that it needed something, though, that was where the consensus stopped.

Could you elaborate on why you think it's shallow?I can't speak for OP, but I think he makes a rather poignant point - one that could easily apply to some of the examples you mentioned.My impression after a few sessions has been somewhat the same: Fun for a while then things start to feel repetitive. Try deleting s.set and cc.set in the install folder and validating the game files I've tried what you've proposed and honestly it's not a problem that we need to fix, you honestly have listed it as ready to play and it is barely as even beta. If your captain is good though, you usually do rather well as they will let you know which cannons you should shoot and more importantly when to shoot, which is more important on the Galleon ships as it's so hard to see out on the lower decks.There are a few fps drops that can be suffered in the game at the moment but the devs are actively working on getting this fixed, as this was not present in the patch prior to early access.
So far, I have had a fair bit of fun out of it, it's very much a team based game and if you don't work together, you can struggle to win.
